Spin Odyssey 2007

I would like to point out that we may not have been the biggest team, but we were the best looking team.  And in the end, that's what it is all about.

I am still reeling from my first Spin Odyssey!
What an experience!

I just wanted to say thank you...  all of you, for your support and your great effort today!
I don't know who worked harder... the riders, or the volunteers!

I know I will be working off this "high" for a few days... so THANK YOU!... your energy and enthusiasm was terrific!

If you got a "goodie bag" today... there is a sticker in there from Jakes Way, Life Is Good...  it entitles you to 20% off when you go into their store... so don't toss it, or stick it to your car until you take advantage of your discount!

Enjoy the rest of your week-end!
Steve

Steve and the Team Mossman spinners.

I am trying to find the right way to say this so it may take a sentence or two for it to make sense.  Our team did not raise the most money, have the largest number of participants, provide the most volunteers, have the nicest balloons or look the best.  Although all of those things are important, especially the money, what each of you did is greater than all of those things combined.

I sat exhausted in bed last night trying to imagine the Spin Odyssey with out you. There may have been an event, but what each of you did was amazing, you made the Spin Odyssey a success. Yesterday wasn’t about team Mossman.  It was about solidarity and raising money for a cure.  Unless you were an insider, you would not have known that Team Mossman was a driving force in yesterday’s success.

That is why I am smiling today.

I look forward to swimming, biking, running and sharing a beer with you guys over the next few months of our season.  It is great to know that Team Mossman provides the forum to gather as friends, train and race together and step outside and give.

Thank you.

PS – be wary when Clay calls you at 9:00pm on a Saturday night!!

Mikes, words are so true!  Spin Odyssey is indeed a great, great event with a real purpose.  It is always an honor and inspiration to be a part of it.  It is amazing to see its growth from year to year.  For me, what makes SO so special is the people that are involved.  Both the volunteers and the participants are amazingly unstoppable in their pursuit to push the limits.  I truly commend each and every one of you for that.

Coming down from Boston each year to participate in SO with Team Mossman reminds of just how fun and inspirational it is to be a part of a team that goes beyond training.  In addition to swimming, biking, and running it is things like having dinner together at Steve’s to wearing swim caps on the bike that make this a really special group.  For me, Team Mossman is more about friendships than anything.  These are the things that keep me coming back to CT.  I would like to say thank you to everyone in our group.  You all make a difference for me in training, and life.

Thanks,

Alan
