About Us

The team developed out of the convergent path of two successful Connecticut USA Triathlon coaches. Doug Levens has been running youth triathlon summer camps in Cheshire since 2008. Clay Tebbetts founded Team Mossman Triathlon Club in 1998 and since that time has grown both the Mossman club and its races into one of the most recognized multisport brands in the Northeast. Doug and Clay both saw the need for a year round place to foster budding young athletes. In 2012, they decided to combine forces along with Ryan Haug, a successful triathlete, cyclist and cross country coach, to create the Nutmeg Youth Triathlon Team.
