EVENT SUMMARY
Proceeds from this event will benefit the Christopher J. Andreozzi (CJA) Charitable Foundation.
All donations made to CJA go directly toward furthering the Foundation’s mission of honoring the life and legacy of Christopher Andreozzi. CJA is dedicated to raising awareness about Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD) and arrhythmia, and providing critical education, training, and equipment—from CPR instruction to supplying Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and more—to empower individuals and communities to respond effectively to cardiac emergencies. In addition to its direct efforts, the Foundation proudly supports the Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndrome (SADS) Foundation and the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. CJA also will be looking to the future by sponsoring academic scholarships at Hamden High School and the Yale University School of Nursing, to educate future leaders in healthcare in Christopher’s memory. Together, we can work to educate and make a lasting impact to both the medical and academic fields, and ultimately help save lives Health care workers will be on site to educate you on how to perform CPR and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). 109 Sanford St Hamden, CT 06514 Start Time: 8:30am Parking: Parking will be available at race site Packet-Pickup: You can save time on race morning by picking up your bib and shirt on the day before the race from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Multisports Academy On race morning, You can pickup your bib and shirt at Devonshire Hall from 7:00 am - 8:15 am Same day registration will be offered at packet pickup. Pet Policy: While we love seeing your pets run with you on race day, a change in our sanction regulations prohibits us from allowing pets at our events, This includes Registration area, Starting Line and on the course during the event. We apologize for this inconvenience and would appreciate it if you leave your pets at home. Registration includes: Race Entry Chip Timing Race day Parking Event T-Shirt Our printer requires us to place our shirt order 10 days prior to race day (to ensure the shirts are ready for race day). The volume of shirts we order is based on the number of registrations. The only way to guarantee a t-shirt and/or desired size is to register early. Pre-Race Warm-Up David from Mount Carmel Fitness will lead us in a pre-race stretch/warmup at 8:00am outside Devonshire hall. Course Information: The race will start promptly at 8:30 am The course is an out and back on the Farmington Canal Trail. There will be no street crossings. Awards: Overall Finisher awards are based on race time (not on an athletes chip time). Age group Awards will be based on chip time. We award prizes for the following categories: Overall Finishers – The Top 3 Males, Females and Non-Binary (Overall award winners are not eligible for age group awards) Age Group Finishers – The top 3 male and female finishers in these age groups (age calculated on race day) 12 and Under 13 - 19 20 – 29 30 – 39 40 – 49 50 – 59 60 – 69 70 - 79 80+ Refund Policy: More than 30 days before race day: 1. Deferment to next year’s race (1 year only) 2. Deferment to any other Team Mossman Events race in the same race season 3. Refund of race entry fee minus $10 service fee. 10-30 days before race day: 1. Deferment to next year’s race (1 year only) or 2.Deferment to any other Team Mossman Events race in the same race season. 10 days or less before race day: 1. No refunds or deferments.
