Hamden Fest Half Marathon and 5K

EVENT SUMMARY

The Hamden Fest Half Marathon & 5K will be held at Town Center Park on Saturday June 14th. The event includes a Half Marathon and 5K. The road races will offer runners and walkers some grass and paved trail running.

The Hamden Road race will kick off Hamden Fest. Hamden Fest will kick off at 11:00 am, with an extravaganza of events and activities in Town Center Park. The Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Town of Hamden to present this exciting event which will feature the Chamber's Annual Business & Community Expo; the Hamden Library Book Sale; Food Trucks and vendors; an Arts & Crafts & Antiques Fair; a Kids’ Zone by Hamden Youth Service Bureau; Entertainment by local musicians and more. Hamden Fest will run until 4:00 pm.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit Hamden Community Services which supports Hamden’s Community Food and Resource Distribution Programs, Youth and Community Programs and Essential Emergency and Financial Assistance Programs.

Parking:
Parking will be available at Hamden Town Center Park. Please enter the park by Hamden Middle School and follow the parking signs. Please do not park in the Library parking lot.

Bib & T-shirt Pickup:
You can avoid the lines on race morning by picking up your race bib and shirt on Friday June 13th from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the race site.

We will also offer Packet pickup on race morning from 7:00 am to 8:15 am for the Half Marathon and 8:00 am to 9:15am for the 5K at the race site.

Same day registration will be offered at bib & t-shirt pickup.

Our printer requires us to place our shirt order by June 1st (to ensure the shirts are ready for race day). The volume of shirts we order is based on the number of registrations. The only way to guarantee a t-shirt and/or desired size is to register before the t-shirt deadline.

Half marathon finishers will get finisher medal.

On Course Nutrition
5K
We will have 1 aid station on the 5K (Close to halfway point).

Half Marathon:
There will be 6 aid stations on the course (approximately every 2-2.5 miles). Aid stations will be equipped with Ucan energy gels, sports drink and water. Four of the aid stations will have portable toilets.

Awards
Awards are based on overall race time (not on an athletes chip time). We award prizes for the following categories:

Overall Finishers – The Top 3 Males, Females and Non-Binary (Overall award winners are not eligible for age group awards)

Age Group Finishers – The top 3 male and female finishers in these age groups (age calculated on race day)

Refund Policy
More than 30 days before race options: Deferment to next year’s race (1 year only), Deferment to any other Team Mossman Events race in the same race season or refund of race entry fee minus $10 service fee.

10-30 days before race: Deferment to next year’s race (1 year only) or Deferment to any other Team Mossman Events race in the same race season.

10 days or less before race: No refunds or deferments.
